G-boy get a life. You are absolutley ruining this board. I have never seen such a whiny little baby in my life. Dont try to apologize you already have proved how assinine you really are. So why dont you just do everyone a favor and shut up or leave. Cause from now on a majority of us could care less about your idiotic opinions. Mostly because you have no idea what you are talkin about. Secondly for some reason you are arrogant and thank you know what you are talkin about. And last of all you talk out your a$$. So get a life. OUCH!!!!! !!! I would say this is pretty harsh comin from a fellow john deere man!!!!! But mostly people like g-boy and g-GAYlor give the rest of us deere people bad names. So i apologize to everyone out there who has had to read those pathetic forumns. And i ask you all not to be biased towards all of us good deere people. Cause like us we come to this site to talk old tractors and pulling. Not get some jacked off feeling of superiority like g-boy and g-Gaylor. Peace out!!!!

I'm not real computer savvy. Does this basically mean that this guy is some fruitcake posing as someone else, and using a computer at the University of Kansas to do it? Is there any possibility he is posing as multiple people on this board? This concerns me, because it seems to me that this could be the kind of thing that could get a discussion board shut down. Maybe there ought to be someway of ensuring that people are using: 1) a legitimate email address, and @) their own email address when posting on this board. I watched these boards for months before ever posting because I figured that you had to have an email address to do it, and I didn't at the time. Without getting to technnical, how did you discover this information?

I know I got a little carried away with my posts, and I apologize for that. But I think most everyone can agree that stuff like this is ridiculous and has no place on this or any other board.

Well, I can't really comment on whether or not ol boy is a fruitcake, but he/she/it definitely posted from a computer at KU.

Prolly just a frustrated basketball fan. heh heh

At one time I would have agreed with you on the need for some identification. But since installing a firewall, I can see that there should be some way of being anonymous unless you can protect yourself.

BTW, the worst site for sending cookies and other e-crap...marthastewart.com The wife's computer profile uses her website as the default site.

HEY.....Martha does kind of look like Osama bin Landen???

G-man we are maybe dealing with the same "Adrian H" from the ytmag JD board or similar profile from a sympathiser who also hid behind his keyboard without an address for some cheap shots to stoke up his ego. Noticed some obvious problems in his psychological profile & took a copy of his rants to a buddy in security at work. In short this Adrian or Deereman is mostly functional in society but is ill & dangerous if pushed into a corner. A type of "road rage" profile on both the information & interstate highways, manipulative & controlling to protect & elevate himself. Middle to senior in age, prefers being called Mr or Sir, likely has military experience & is now feeling threatened from the "young pups". Probably a foreman but no matter how much snoozing he has never advanced farther in the company. Likely divorced or married to a very submissive women. Was likely bullied as a child & now uses the same tactics to protect himself. I dropped the issue back on the other site & he's now emboldened by his victory. Seems he never heard tell of the saying " don't wrestle with a pig, you both get dirty & the pig likes it". Which is the reason for my walking away from the thread. If you don't have a firewall, get at least the free one from www.zonealert.com . It's either a coincidence or he's been pinging my machine from a remote address repeatably over the past couple of days.. A look at the pulling Oliver/DD mess shows some anti-Deere shots were thrown first. And the initial question was innocent enough with only wanting to know how to make his DD powered machine more competitive.

I know the initial posts were innocent. And so was mine, I simply said that I wanted a stock 830. I shouldn't have said "maxed-out Oliver), because I wouldn't want a maxed-out Deere either. Anyway, I have no hard feelings toward anyone, regardless of their opinion. I just hope the board can go forward from here, and everybody can get along. By the way, I saw an old Oliver sitting in a tree line the other day while on a service call - looked to be a 77 or 88 row-crop (narrow front), but I can't say for sure. I do like the looks of those tractors, but I have neither the time or money for another one right now. If anyone in east-central Nebraska is looking for an Oliver project tractor, email me and I will tell you where to find it. It also has a Farmhand loader on it (or something similar), and looked to have sat there for a while. Other than that, it looked to be in fairly good condition, or as near as I could tell driving by. Anyway, I just thought I would give someone a lead on a decent-looking old Oliver if they're looking for one.

WHY IS IT THAT I EMAILED THE PERSON THAT HAS THE ADDRESS YOU LISTED AND HE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BOARD? ARE YOU THAT SCARED TO REVEAL YOUR REAL NAME/EMAIL ADDRESS? G-MAN

I sat down and emailed deereman@yahoo.com today. Told him what I thought of his comments and explained a little about myself and this experience I don't have. He emailed back and said that he had no idea what I was talking about. Care to comment on that "deereman"? You can rip on me all you want, just don't hide behind someone else's name to do it. If you're man enough, post your real email address. If not, go back and hide in the corner. I may be a jerk, s.o.b., arrogant idiot or whatever, but at least I don't hide behind someone else, unlike you , you coward. You are the one that is ruining this board, not me.
