im tryin 2 get more rpms out of my 560 gas right now with the linkage adjusted and the gov screw all the way in it will turn something like 2'300 almost 24 i was told that the 615 combine had the same motor and turned 2'600rpms and made something like 88hp i was also told the if i take the gov off and add a few washers and then back the screw all the way out and start over takein it in can get me well over 3'000rpms is this true??

try spuring the mule a little harder! a good hickory stink might work? look at it this way, when she blows , scrape irons up!

The governor is off of my 560 and according to the newly installed tach it will peg my 8K rpm tach pulling in the 6000 lb class. I'm gonna have to stop pulling with the "stockers" (my decision). I'm also going to have to get a steel flywheel (although it might already have one, I need to split and see.) I am begining to see that I opened up a whole can of worms that is going to add up to my budget in a hurry.

I used a 715 301 combine spring and gov. arond 2850.
