There was a terrible turnout today at Bucyrus, OH. We had abuot 40 hooks. I wanted to get the date of the next one out early so maybe the numbers will show up. There are classes for everyone. Stock, Uncut (4mph), and Cut (8mph). There aren't very many rules and is always a good time. The next pull is Sept. 9 at 11:00am. The few rules that there are can be seen at Muskingum Antique Power website under schedules.

In the northwest we certainly have seen it. Columbia County Fair, OR last year 106 hooks, this year 70 hooks,(it was however 102f that day; super hot). Today at Polk County Fair, OR 60ish hooks compared to last years 83 hooks.
A trend I've noticed is that the heavy tractors are not showing up, which makes sense with fuel prices.

I hate to say it, but that seems to be the way things are going this year. Alot of pulls this year have had low numbers because of high fuel cost. Plus with pulls wanting to raise entry fees and have little or no payback, alot of people would rather stay closer to home. Just like Mansfield charged a gate fee last week when the fair didn't start till the next day.
