Hey, I pull in 7000lb farm stock and was wondering what gear you think I should be pulling in, right now I've been using 2nd, do you think I should try third? Also, what can I do to the governer to get my RPM's up a little?

I tried 3 rd, you will run out of power. 2nd is good 1st is better. get your weight balanced right. can get a gov spring at case dealer. i believe they are about 10 bucks. your old 560 spring is probably really weak, mine sure was. with extra rpm you need to drill your main tube feed out atn least one drill size, or try 5 turns out on main jet adj. ( example from size 52 drill to 53 drill)

Try a gov. spring off a 715 combine engine or a 706 their a little stiffer.I have a 460 with the combine engine it will run around 2600rpm.
