What is the max cubes for a 300 block. I would like to go 4.375 bore and 6 inch stroke for about 360 cid. How much would this cost for a complete short block assembly ?

Why on earth would you waste money using a high dollar 300 - 350 block? The only reason they get used in pulling so much is because they can hold 3.8125 bore size better. You are gonna have to bore the sleeve with out of it, and into the water jacket, so, why not use an H block??

As far as price, I'll tell you when my 374 is done...crank, pistons, and head is done. block is "under construction." I would start on the block again till it gets cooler. If I wasnt in this project waist deep, I'd probably be happier with 4.25 by 5.75. Alot easier.....I have some pics available...AC

I heard of a guy that had 396CID out of a H. But I do not know what block he used.
