considering filling water jacket to top to help support the sleeves. Anyone done this ? will run water in the head.

Sure that's the way mine is and it is worry free. Just make sure you have the sleeves sized after the hard block has setup because it will move the walls around. Also it will need extra piston to wall clearance than normal because the sleeve cannot expand outward therefore it comes in with heat. Mines been that way for 10 years and haven't hurt a piston since I switched to synthetic oil 9 1/2 years ago. Level the block and pour it in then take a jitterbug sander at low air pressure to vibrate the air pockets out and level the filler. Hope this helps and good luck.
