Hi guys, maybe someone here can help us out.A buddy of mine pulls mini rods and he has one with a 4 cyl Ford engine on it. Question is,without running a radiator whats the best way to keep it cool.He has heard several different opinions. Some say run it dry, some say run tranny fluid and yet others say use engine oil.He wanted to get by without a radiator or waterpump if possible.Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks,Terry

What about an electric fan like the drag racers sometime use?

Run demin water, a small tank to supply water under gravity to the block as it boils out into another catch/vent tank from the thermostat outlet. Is the tractor close to the weight limit, why no pump & tank? Summit racing has a light weight electric coolant pump or motor to run the stock coolant pump.Limits steam pockets & reduces power drain. Just pump though a light weight aluminium rad/resevour. As previously mentioned alcohol fuel or at least a blend there of jetted rich runs cooler.

Run alcohol and don't let it run all very long.
