pick your favorite division, or classification that you like best,, and stay 1 class under that till you get your feet wet. Get a tractor, if its stock, thats OK!! Take it and go to a pull, most places have "pure stock classes" At least thats what they say,, and you'll find that out,, but, your on the track and on your way! Watch whats going on, and ask questions. Any running tractor you can pick up for under $1500 is a canidate for a puller. Sometimes, if you watch the local consignment auctions, look thru alot of classified ads, might see a M farmall, or a 88 oliver, JD A's, (you wont find a JD G for under 1500),,, pick your favorite color, make and model, and the fun begins. good luck and happy hunting!
