Ive been on the look out for a cheaper turbo diesel tractor for farmstock for me to work on and eventually have a strong trator. Just looking to have alittle fun with a stock tractor for a few years though and i need something cheaper. Is an AC 7000 decent or will i regret it? The 10500 lb MF 97 just isnt enough for me and i cant get enough out of it becuase of no turbo. Whats your opinion?

UUmm 190's and 200 have powershift trannys too, they are only 2 speeds though. On any of the tractors, if you are planning for a high horsepower puller, then you will have to lock the tranny in and get rid of the powershift, but for stock, i think a 7000 would do great, just put some fuel to it and you could push 130/140 out of it easy....

i think you would be happer with a 190 sries or better yet a 200 they both run the same engine as the 7000 but neather have a power shift transmission so i would go for the 200 and lock the hi lo shift together. turn it up have some good fun with it

Buddy of mine has a 7000, usually doesnt do too great. Mostly because its a cab tractor and too heavy for the power, BUT sometimes it gets hooked up real good. A few weeks ago he beat my JD 5020 by 3 inches, good enough for second place.

What does it weigh and cant the cab be remover, i know somewere i saw a 7000 open station. I deffinatly though the power to weight ratio is alot better than my 97 or a massey 1130.

His tractor has fluid in the tires too. Its over the 11500 mark that way. I'm not sure if the cab can be removed or not. Horse power is bone stock on it too. Like I said he gets it hooked up real good sometimes, I think an open station 7000 with the fuel turned up could be cheap fun, he paid a little over $5000 for his. Wish I could be a little more helpful.
