was wondering what everybody else thought of the championship pull,i thought it was a big joke, the sled was set up to stop tractors around a 100 foot mark in some classes, the contraption sled never stopped against a stopp so everybody started up to foot off each other, you could see this by watching the pulloff in the 5500lb div4 class when the wk-40 was a foot behind the 88 when he spun out and he won the class by about a foot.what a JOKE!

If you are that desperate to pull, the NATPA is the place for you. If you don't care about rules being enforced on all pullers, the NATPA is for you.
If you don't care about your entry money going in the pocket of the NATPA officers, you will like the NATPA.

It was a perfect pull for the NATPA. They got your money and the pull was over in record time. They could only wish all pulls were as good as that class.

The NATPA goal next year is to have all 50 feet tracks. Start with the all the weight on the sled they can get. Make it like a dead weight pull, but you only get one chance to pull it. They also want to raise the entry fee to $40 a hook. You know to pay all the inspectors.

If the pull was judged by a laser like ours are it is very possible that the WK-40 pulled futher than the 88 but stopped short of the 88s holes. This is because the starting point is zeroed when the tractor is hooked and the chain is tight. If the WK-40 started out say 6' further back than the 88 he could pull a foot farther and be 5' short of the 88s holes.

I have pulled that type sled many times as far as I'm concerned that is the most fair way of judging a pull.By changing the start point you also change the ending point.Keeps the following pullers out of the hole dug by the preceding tactors How many times I've had a good pull going and hit the hole of an earlier tractor and stop there. The lazer measures the distance pulled to a fraction of an inch if you want to get that close.my comment for the day ,thank you for your support.OT
