I was wanting to know if maybe some machine shops would take on the task of adding about three inches of width to a 2 inch drop center rim.I can get some 12.38's but need to widen to 15 wide.14's are common but our rules state that we can run 16.9's on a 15 rim. Thanks

A buddy of mine checked out a shop that said they could widen his 24" rims but they wanted 150.00 a piece to do it!

Jack-- Miller tire sells new 14' wide rims. You can buy them new about as cheap as you can cut the rim and roll a piece to weld back in. Welding them back up isn't to bad but cleaning them up to make them look halve way decent is a noisy chore. The noise inside of rim sure does ring, ear plugs are a must.Miller Tire I don't have the Ph. no, but they advertise in GM an the Hook you might try Millertire.com this might work. if you are using a pressed 38 in wheel i went to a imp salvage yard got a pair of old 38 in clamp on duel rims had McBride welding in linton indiana plasma cut off the outside bead to the width i needed it takes less time and money you make 2 welds insted of 4 with a spacer ring i got lucky the salvage rim for ten bucks for the pair look for the ones rotted around the valve stim side the other side is probably still good for this

Jack, where are you located? I can do rim widening on my tire cutting machine if the rim is a nine-bolt and have made several sets for myself and other folks. I am in northeast Missouri. Mike
