I was looking through the result of the NATPA pulls and noticed that Brad's MM wasn't listed anywhere. Has he been having problems with it, or did he sell it. I saw he has been pulling an 88 in Div. 2.

Is that REALLY 8"? He sure went with an awful darn small bore then. I am suprised the rods clear the end of the cylinders wortha darn. I have never seen it run out of torque, though. Marlett did it didnt he?

Brad might just be going back to his roots. Some of the best times I have had pulling were with the Lap Landers in SE IA many years ago with Brad and many other great people. The majority of the tractors were very mild by today's standard, but they were usually put together by the pullers themselves.

That is what happens when you you don't have any competition, you get bored and go looking for a class with competition. The truth is, antique pulling is going back towards stockers. People are just sick and tired of spending time and money to build a time bomb engine just to play. You can take a $1000 tractor and have just as much if not more fun than with a $20k tractor.

I heard a rumor that it was down scattered waiting on it's new 9.5" billet aluminum crankshaft to be done. Supposedly they used a 9.5" G John Deere pattern, cut it out of aluminum, and are welding 3 together! Watch out in the 5000 lb class!!

Nah, in order to run John Deere parts it would have to be twice as heavy but half the horsepower. 9.5 stroke? Love to see that using tall blocks, a giant uhhhh 2-3" block spacer, and holes ground straight through the crankcase covered in bondo to let it swing? Hmmm maybe on 1.5" rod journals too eh? Never know.... maybe I should go into the billet titanium business and put helium in my tires. Hot air rises too!

And that U gets beat by 3 other MM"s with smaller motors. What a waste of time and money.
