Shaggy thanks for the reply, sounds like fun and the best pulling for antique tractors. Do you have scales to exact weigh the tractors? Thanks again for the reply. Julian

We live for dead weight pulling where I come from. It can be complicated at times. We run these classes 2500, 3800, 5100, 7200, 9000, 12,000, 14,500. The rules are plain and simple, everybody pulls 20 feet per chance for a full pull. If you do not pull 20' you can pass and come back after all the pulls are done, or you can go the other direction. If you do not full pull twice you are out. After everyone has gone through and you have you passers repulled add weight to the sled usually 300-500 pound at a time. it depends dramatically on how long you want to be there. We start pulling at 10:00am and usually finish at 8:00am the next day, but we are die hards and we love doing it. It's all about the bragging rights. The most trouble we have is in the last class though, because we usually run out of wieght for the sled. It usally results in taking wieghts off of tractors from the previous class a few riders on the sled and a couple longer chains. If that dosen't stop them we usually tie a john deere A to the sled in reverse with the engine off. The sled is 3' x 8'. if you want to try it good luck to ya and you might want to pop a few stacker 2's to get you through.
