This afternoon there was an unfortunate accident at the NATPA pull where a driver was getting off of his tractor and was hit hard by the tire of a runaway tractor. This happened in the building waiting inline to hook. Does anyone have an update on the driver"s condition?

The oliver that ran out of control went on to win the class. That takes guts to turn around and pull the tractor that just went out of control, mind you it was a different driver during the pull. Also, they never weighed the tractoe with the other driver.

I was a spectator who saw the accident. The owner and normally the driver was not on the tractor, but the owner was at the scales, I noticed someone else on the tractor, and the announcer had announced the owner's name for the class. I watch closely as the name and driver were different. If by any chance that I am mistaken, the driver was a much smaller man than the owner and the tractor and driver would have weighed less.

Thank goodness the injury was not as serious as it appeared and hopefully the MVP and NATPA will review all safety issues. I really enjoyed the pull and look forward to Wauseon next year.

Why was the Oliver that was involved in the accident and apparently had a clutch problem allowed to compete afterwards? Where was the safety committee?

I am amazed that he returned to the track, I saw him get hit and sandwiched between the two tractors, I thought he was hurt real bad. I thought he would at least go the hospital to be checked over.

Yeah, and I bet he crawled out of bed really slowly Sunday morning. Neil is a great guy, and when he got back from the hospital, it was already getting dark, but I could see him still smiling from ear to ear.
