Farmall Super C compression ratio question

I tried this on the Farmall board and didn't get anywhere, so...

I'm getting ready to rebuild the motor in my Super C and there are several options for pistons. Does anyone know what the compression ratios for the standard, fire crater and high altitude pistons ( 370 147 R1 vs 374 294 R1 vs 374 451 R1) ?

Thanks

Greg

I have a B with a Tisco 3 1/8 with the domes over bore kit and with the 140 head it is kicking out right at 205 psi of(cranking) compression with the engine cold.
As far as it being 8 to1 or 12 to 1 I don"t know. There is another way to get those figures.

Hi Shaggy, How high is the octane in your fuel? That seems really high. Charles

I checked the compression with 2 different gauages and it was 205 on 1 and 210 of the other and that is with the valves set at 14 hot.
I have been running 93 octane in it all summer but I did put some 110 in it just for the smell but I don"t know if it helped with power any. I have a petronics kit in the distributor with a few other odds and ends. If we get the snow like there talking it will be the snow plow tractor this weekend! Shaggy
