Speaking of rules - what about the rule that you must have a driver's license to drive the vehicle that gets your tractor to the tractor pull? Get a grip on life.

My comment was in response to earlier comment with the quote/comment "that's my rules!!!!! " I understood the writer to be degrading the track owner for saying the track rules are his. Since it is his track, he would have a right to make the rules. The track owner (Darrell Plyler) has tried to make the rules as fair as possible. But as we all know, no one person can please EVERYBODY. Gumby

He has done a good job makeing the rules. They keep his tractors in the winners circle. His track his rules his tropheys. His way or no way. I hope he enjoys playing by him self. At least he is competive that way.

Ok YOU SAID "He has done a good job makeing the rules. They keep his tractors in the winners circle. His track his rules his tropheys. His way or no way. I hope he enjoys playing by him self. At least he is competive that way". >>> When you build your track, put in lighting and sound, build your sled, provide pullback & scrape tractor, build your scale, provide food & drinks, provide the trophies, maintain all the paperwork, allow drivers to sign up before and during pulls, sponsor a banquet, coordinate the pull schedules, etc. etc., let me know and I'll come pull at your place and pull by your rules. ** Now that we've killed this subject long enough, I'm going to enjoy my trophies, and look forward to the next pull on May 4th, and all remaining pulls for "His" season, with "His" rules. And should I decide to go to another track to pull, then I guess I'll just have to live by THEIR rules whether I like them or not. Be sure and let me know when your track is ready.

So you are saying you agree with me? He just needs to leave the assoication part off of SATPA since the pullers have no say so. I say boycott and see if he needs the pullers to buy his food pay for his trophys and keep his lights on.You made a good point.I guess he dont need anybody.
There is a OTTPA pull at Rocking K and one at Statesville on May 4. They still need pullers to make their pulls work.Gee I wonder if he will be selling his food for 75% off this time

I hate to tell you but darrel didnt provide a sled by himself. what about everything donated. And that means most of the parts and I garuntee that he didnt build it alone. We have pulled in pageland plenty and their is no fun in it. Not because we have problems winning , because we have RARELY lost there . thats the problem especially from sorry losers. not mentioning any names but we are tired of going and people complaining about getting beat by a truely stock tractor. Instead of crying they should spend more money on those loud UGLY tractors they think are so strong. As far as rules we wont go into fairness especially when they change the rules every week. Darrel of course provides food there because he is making dang good money. he is also getting paid very nice for those trophies made by who? himself. well i wonder where that profits going. If he was so nice he would make them for cost since the association is paying for it. but no , the hook fees arent enough for him seems the association never has money, and has to take donations for stuff like a spedometer. Darrel is lining his pockets with our money and his ego with his rules. as far as I am concerned he can take the money and shove it you know where.

just another puller.

Yes, I am agreeing - should I have to pull according to what YOU want or vice versa? To make a long response short, FINE, go ahead and boycott. There are many good people who enjoy pulling with SATPA, pulling for _FUN_. I don't think we WANT or NEED pullers who apparently have a personal grudge against Darrell. IF I choose to pull somewhere else, you can bet I will pull by THEIR rules, NOT YOURS (unless it's at your track). Enough Said - I have to do some work on my tractor before May 4th in Pageland (-; Gumby
