Can just any ol' guy show up at the air port with a gas can and buy some airplane fuel? How do you go about buying this stuff?

I buy the airplane fuel at a small air port it's 100 octain low lead fuel and cost around $2.30 a gallon. I just bring a cupple 5 gal jugs and pay cash. The fuel work good for me.

Try your local executive airport. Most of them sell fuel. Be prepared to pay a premium. Around here AV Gas (aviation fuel) sells for 5 to 6 bucks a gallon. The fuel is only rated at 110 octane. You can acquire racing fuel in the 135 octane range and its about the same price. I get the 135 octane at the drag racing facility where I race. Hope this helps.
