Will a cool can help me if I am running a stock tractor? How much will it help?
Do they really work?

Thanks for your time and help

I can't say how much a cool can will help you, or whether the power gain will be noticable, but basically anything you can do to cool the fuel-air charge entering the engine is going to improve your power output and fuel economy. The cooler charge is also more dense, allowing more fuel-air to be packed into the same volume. If your fuel tank is mounted over the engine, like most are on old tractors, I would imagine that the fuel would get fairly warm after a while - especially as the heat from the engine rises straight up to the tank when the engine is shut off - because the fan blast doesn't blow it back. It seems to me the fuel would get warmer between pulling rounds. Like I said, it may not help a tremendous amount, but what's it going to hurt? You can build one for cheap - just a coffee can, some copper tubing and a tube of silicone. It will look sort of crude, but if you find it helps, you can always make or purchase a little more refined one. I would also think a cool can would possibly help with any vapor locking problems. Good luck with your tractor.
