Has anyone put a 4inch piston in a farmall H block? Can it be done without Hardblocking? What kind of horsepower did you get without stroking it? I'm taking mine to the machine shop tomorrow and need some ideas on how big to go without getting rediculous like moving head bolts and that kind of stuff. Thanks for you info.

Cant be done. H blocks are good up to 3-13/16 and it must be a good block. 350 blocks are a better choice, but you still will have pressed in sleeves and hardblock. Ive got a bored out sleeved 350 block,,, needs to be hardblocked, finish bored, and the sleeves in the block deck,, either have to be brazed in, or hardblocked all the way up so so water is in the block, only thru the head and that holds the sleeves in. Pics available, but shows what has to be done, or what they may look like. ChadS
