I recomend if your pull has a 3000 class just to stay at your 3000 weight. Where I'm from the 66 is the tractor to beat in the 3000 class. Your only competition will be WC Allis Chalmers that is in the older class because they weight about 3000 but in the newer class the WC has a hard time to get in because it went to a styled body, but they can take their fenders off and get under. They pull because most of the time they have a WD 45 kit in the engine.

my 66 with no weight added, is 2956 lbs. i pull it in the 3500 pound class.this is a very good tractor to pull with. i could get ,maybe 75 more pounds off it, but that is it. i pull antique farm so, i am limited to what i can alter.any more questions feel free to ask. Dave.

They use a smaller gas tank, and make new hubs for the rear wheels, plus light rear rims. I think they are using 10x38 rear tires.

just a few things to lighten up olivers--have pressed steel rims instead of cast centers, remove hydraulics or power lift- they made bare transmission covers, check your organizations rules first but the pto can be removed-only 8 bolts & it saves 100 to 150 lbs & a plate will have to be made to cover hole in diff. case. Narrow front is lighter than wide fronts & check rules again but i usually remove the fenders this saves a few pounds too.
