I have heard of custom gears made for John Deers that give you a gear between 1st and second and a gear between 2nd and third, can anybody point me towards the vendor that made these gears for them. Thanks Clinton

Can't you pull her without modifying the tranny? I've always done very well without mods of any kind with my WD45 and D17 and just stay in the stock classes. On occasion I have pulled in the classic classes and have also done well. I don't know much about Deere though, other than most pullers do modify to be competetive even in the stock class. Seems to me when you modify something it is no longer what is was. The B will be something other than what John Deere sold and not really a John Deere B. That's just my opinion.

Trying to do this on a John Deere B, I heard they where replacing the 5-6 gear pack on the outside of the transmission.

For what tractor? I don't know about the actual transmission gears, but I've heard of guys changing the reduction gear ratio, which would slow the input speed into the transmission and put more torque into it. Maybe using 70 Diesel reduction gears in a "G"?
