Steve check out Denny"s carb shop website. There are some very interesting items on here for pulling tractors. We also pull with a 400 Farmall.

We had a 450 one time that we drilled the main jet and installed M&W pistons...It really pulled strong and lasted in the field...My uncle had one set up the same way, but his got the oil bath air cleaner full of bees wings when he used the 450 on our BearCat sheller-grinder-mixer and it started smoking white and combustion come out the crankcase ventilator.

in other words, a dry air cleaner would be a very positive addition and I believe it could be done all inside the original oil bath assembly.
