What have you guys used to make a mold of the combustion chamber. I'm checking into having custom pistons made, and they want a mold of the head. They said to use bondo. Anybody tried anything else?

I have used this for making molds in old breech loading black powder rifles to have bullet cartridges made for them. Take some candle wax or bees wax, melt it and while it is molten take a small paint brush and paint the combustion chamber with it( with valves in the head and closed of course). Then take some powdered sulfur and put it in a bean can. Take a propane torch and heat it until it melts. Pour it into the chamber and let cool, you have a mold of your combustion chamber now. Lay some of the plastic wrap down inside the chamber.

Modeling Clay from a hobby shop worked good for mine ,Just make sure to use a good release agent like pam or penatrating oil on the head
