560 and 706 heads, fit?

i have a 301 eng off a 806, it has a 706 head on it, will my rebuilt head off the 263 eng fit on it ok. they look same,

Better check the combustion chambers. A true 806 head has a "closed-chamber" when compared to a 560 head. Kinda like different big block Chevy heads.....more compression. However a 560 head will fit a 301 block.

thanks for reply, i thought they look the same, it saves me having to get the head off 301 rebuilt when i have a rebuilt head with only 115 hours on it. well, a 263 motor also, guess i;ll have a spare. well got to go shovel snow. have a good day.

it should fit just fine, pretty much the same head.
