I have a 930ck wheatland or standard. I want to make a puller out of it. It is a lp tractor. I have a carb i am going to try and put on to make it a gas burner. I am just wanting some info about the 930 case. there has to be some one pulling one of these out there.

I have a 930CK gas tricycle and a 930 wheatland lp not yet running. the CK weighs around 8000lbs nothing on it thats with the cast rear wheels. It will pull with the best of them in 8500lbs farm stock; just stock with 18.4-34s. I say you could gain more horsepower running on gas and maybe higher octane ;the Lp has a higher compression ratio than the gas one and the Lp equipment breaths a whole lot better.

In antique pulling it is too new to pull. Most places are 59' and older. However some clubs may let you. Just have to check in your area.Jim

When it comes to low rpm grunt (torque) you can't beat the Case "30" series long stroke engines so for that I give it an "A". BUT , I'm not sure what dia. tires the wheatland model comes with but I don't think they are 38,s. You will be pullin' against tractors with 38,s and maybe even 42,s. If you have 34,s or less , which I believe you do , you are at a disadvantage at the start. With large dia. tires and that engine in stock you are good to go. I believe the 930 is relatively light , too , compared to others in it's hp range so ypu can put more weights where you need. Hope you are aware that pullin' gas stock against diesel (stock?)is a loosin' proposition cause you can't "turn up" your carb like they can their injector pumps. As you have seen on this forum , there is no such thing as stock in pullin' , so either pull to have fun or exhaust your bank acct. if you intend to win. Take it just the way it is to a couple of pulls and see what it does and what it needs and what it will cost you BEFORE you go any farther on it.Good luck pullin'

Leave that 930 on lp, you can get the max HP the engine will put out.More Hp than the diesel all factors being the same.
