Has anyone ever tried using 3.75", IH 706 pistons in a farmall H block with a 1" stroker crank? I have heard rumors, but I was wondering if there was any truth to them

Thanks for the replies, they confirm what I have heard in the past. I'm going to use firecrater pistons, will I have to trim much off the dome that goes up into the head?

You may have to trim right at the corners of the tallest part of the domes to fit up inside the head, It wont be much at all to trim if you do any at all. Put them in, as directed follow direction arrow. Firecraters,, good choice. JMHO.

Should only have to trim off .020, or dropp the wrist pin location down .020 and not have to cut the piston at all. we use 806 pistons, but the 706 is the same compression height.

you can use 350 rods, or H rods with the 300 wrist pin bushing, the pins are the same size, 300-6cyl. You would have to cut the pistons, doing it that way, but,, not hard to do.
