Just my 2-cents,
When we go to a pull do we go to see the best tractor or the best driver or the best cheater.
To me the words (the best)is a mouthful.
Now,if you want to go to a good pull, lets do it this way.
One tractor used to pull with, does'nt matter which color in this pull, because the driver's will use the same tractor.
The weight class is unimportant because the tractor will be stock and the driver will weight the tractor before he pulls however he/she wants it weighted.
The driver's can't watch the driver before them pull, that's part of the weighting of the tractor,to see who's (the best) driver and who pulls the farthest.
Then maybe if the tractor lasted long enough, then maybe you could call it (THE BEST).
I love to watch tractor pulls myself and pull myself, but just who is the best, the tractor or the driver.
Lets chew on that for awhile.
Don't Matter.

We've experimented a little here in Ohio. We'll swap tractors in the same class, weighed the same, at wstpa pulls in West Salem. It is legal to put 2 drivers on a tractor in each class, it's a lot of fun to see who can read the track and go the farthest. Ends the Which driver is best arguement, as results usually are mixed. You can learn a lot by watching your machine pull when you're not on it.

There is alot to be said about reading the track. Some people can do it and some can't. I know a guy with a 100hp U MM that has the worst luck. Its either weighted wrong or poor choice of line on the track, or just plain too much power for the track. I agree you must put the power down to do any good, What ever brand you pull.
