looks like its going to be a wet track, gravel on clay. i had planned on using some fairly well worn feild and road 13.6 38, with weights, but i amnow thinking about using the high cleats with no weights any ideas?

I've watched the 77's pull before, you won't be humiliated by it's performance. If the track is
going to be wet and slick I would use a taller
lug tire and weight it up to the max. Something
about those old olivers, they are hard to beat.

Put on as much weight as you can for the class and try the tires you have on the tractor. How short are the lugs in the middle? How rounded off is the front edge? A lot of times the tall lug tires just piles up more dirt in front of the sled making it that much harder to pull. Are you planning on pulling at Oakley?

Take care,
A.P.

who knows, this old S77 is stock, runs great, had the original tires rotted of it. i have a set of tires worn nearly to death, but the leading edges are square. and this hi tread set, am looking for a more evenly worn set as well. i may just go get humiliated by a Cub, who knows. its what i can afford, those other brands cost a ton, and i got this one next to free. if it does good i will invest in it more, new rings, valve job, etc.

Where and when is the pull your talking about? I live in the Brighton area. The only one I heard of is the Hudson Mills event in June.

There is a transfer sled pull tomorrow (Saturday) at Oakley (North of Owosso) at the Mid-Michigan show grounds. This is the pull that was canceled last weekend due to rain. There will be another pull in two weeks on Sunday.

I live in Howell. Hope to see you at the Hudson Mills pull. What do you pull? I pull an Oliver 88 standard at the moment.

Take care,
A.P.

I'm working on a JD B. So far I have only been a spectator at pulls. I have a few friends that have pulled in Fowlerville and at Hudson Mills. If I get my B together in time I may try to pull at H.M.
