Which of these two flat heads will work on a styled G to increase the compression? Will both bolt right upto a styled G? And what kind of increase in HP can you expect with a stock crank?
Thanks for all your advice!!

Either head will work... use the later Gasket. The early gasket will not match up to the block.. JDGnut

Early G block, later G gasket. the early head has the same small water passage as the block, but the head will work on the later block because the extra area for the water passage is blocked off on the early head.

Also, would you get the estimated 15 HP from both heads?

Both heads will work but the early one needs a special head gasket. I would estimate that you should gain around 15 hp with the flat head.
