If you look around you can find some reasonable Marine tachs that are water resistance and shock-proof in the 3000 rpm range.

We run a Datcon tach on a 4020 JD with a 470 cummins in it. This is a field tractor, and it has held up very well. This tractor has alot of vibration at times but the tach is solid. We got our tach at a local auto parts store. Might save some money buying it that way. AJB

hank the denny"s tach. is NOT made by him. He tells folks that it is but it"s made by datcon. Witch is a Div. of Stewart Warner. I hate to say anything good about Denny"s but that tach is a good one.I also run one myself.

You got a bent cam from him and he hung up on you? Did you stop payment? I sure think I would if possible.

Hank, I've been using a Denny's tach for about 8 years on my Farmall 'M'. Works well, but I have sence been using a digital tack from JEG'S
(Stewart Warner) and can read easier. For the price the Denny's tach is a good value.
