Just wondering if it is allowed if you pull your t/a into low when pulling? I would guess the answer is no, and I guess different places have different rules, but is it allowed anywhere?

It seems to me that a tractor pull is a contest to see which driver's tractor pulls the best. Thus, it seems that you maybe should be allowed to use the TA sometimes. But then, if you aren't allowed to push the clutch and move the regular shifting lever, you wouldn't be allowed to use the TA...

Many of the Farm class pulls in Michigan allow you to shift on the go at any point. The classic/antique tractors usually are not allowed to. There are variations from group to group so it isn't necessarily true for every pull.

Take care,
A.P.

the ones I've seen use it usually end up losing there traction and spinning out. if they had stayed in high with it an lugged it out they would have gotten further down the track.Don't use it on my "G" johndeere or the WD allis do fine without. OT

Here in NW Iowa, most pulls specify that the TA must stay in one position from start to stop. I haven't found the TA on my G JD, but then I haven't needed one either.

Dale, where are you from? I live in NW Iowa and go to some of the local pulls with my MTA.

I live in Larrabee. I don't get to too many pulls, usually the Cherokee county fair, Hartley Summer Fest, Albert City Threshermens show, the Marcus fair and the Clay county fair at Spencer.

I've been to the Marcus and Cherokee tractor pulls but won't go back, their tracks are full of gravel and pretty much ruin cut tires. Sac City has a real nice pull, can't remember when it is for sure though. It's a JD pull, won't let you use a TA.

In our area you can use it but you can't change it once you pass the 40ft. mark. The smartest thing to do would be to check with the people who are hosting the pull.

I have seen it done. But it didnt help him much cause he got a full pull then disqualifed. I would say yes in some pulls. if u start out with the t/a on then swich it off it shouldn't bother them any

Most of the local clubs/fair pull allow the pulling of the TA. I like the TA on our 400.

at my local field days antique pull this last year they didn't allow a puller to use his T/A on his smta and the guy got quite hot over it and said he didn't understand why not even though they kept telling him that it wouldn't be fair to the other divers whose tractors didn't have one. So in the end they told him to either follow the rules or go home.
The farm pull is a different story and anything flies....so if you have a lessor tractor you'd might just as well keep it to home.

It all depends on the rules. Most antique pulls that I have been to won't, but all farm pulls I've been to will.

Here are the facts in stone.A Torqe Amplifier is a magic device that somehow gives a 264 inch Farmall an advantage over a 800 inch Deere, a250 horse Super99 GM or a mega cube MM ??? The first thing I hear when I pull in the gate is invariably YOU CANT USE YOUR TORQUE..... ..
