How much stronger is a 88 rearend and transmission than a Super 77? How many HP. will a S77 drive train take?

I have pulled with both. I don't really think there is much difference in the rear ends. The 88 has a little more power, but not a heck of a lot. I don't think you can over power the rear end, because you usually just end up spinning out.

Olivers had very little rear end trouble, they were very reliable. The 88 has has a lot stouter unit though. They both hold up real well.
