I enjoy watching area antique pulls in northwest ohio (Maumee Valley Pullers and Central Ohio Antique Tractor Pullers). Does anyone on here know how much horsepower the tractors in the div. 3 5500-6500 lb. classes have to be competitive. Thinking about pulling in the future and I was just curious. Thanks.

I would agree but you better be closer to the 100 if you want to win. I pulled there once on a 4th of July pull and I have over 100 was under a lot of tractors in that class. Granted my tires were not that great at that time, but we also pulled a Div.2 tractor with 75 hp and it was about right for that class.

I"m sure there are going to be other opinions, but I would say you need 80-100+ horsepower to be competitive on a regular basis.
