NCIATPA offers 0-4500 classes farm stock and modified on a percentage. Load heavy for our sled,,, takes at least a 3600# tractor to move it. Deadweight street pulling on asphalt,,, if your 4000 and below, you have a good chance to do well. Ill email ya some schedules. Chad

Light classes,, when they were playing with class rules, used to start at 4000 when we pulled distance, now back to percentage in classes under 5500, so its back to 0-4500, 4501-5500 farm and mods, (percentage) mods from 5500 and up are on distance still. Ill tell ya,,,, if allowed to tune the sled in 3500 and below tractors can pull our sled, but the pride from others prevent anybody to do such a thing for others, as long as thier "predetermined" setup dont affect their tractors, they are happy. One night up in Hamlet, I pulled the sled into the grounds, and slid the pan as far forward as it can go, needless to say, everyone had a great hook on the track, but while I was moving the pan, had one particular fella come up and chew me out one side and down the other for affecting his setup. Guess he got too comfortable with the same ol same ol, but the rest of the club loved to have a good long hook instead of the 50 feet pass. Chad

Yeah, it is kinda bull s**# when a 3500lb machine can hardly start the sled. heck, when I weighted up and run over 4000 it was still rather difficult. There are a lot of light tractors out there, but light tractor attendence at NCIATPA pulls, well, quite frankly, sucks. Oh well, I'll still pull. BUT, a 60 - 70 foot pull is kinda lousy..... AC PS, got my gears? I have a hitch for ya...

I can remember about 12-15 light weight tractors at one time bout 10 years ago, they messed with the sled pan and they all disapated into the farm stock classes. I tried it with my 50 H, but too much power for low gear for the weight,,, that, and I could not sleep at night cause its stroked, so I put it back to mods, but noone left to pull against. Sooo, putting the SW H back together one of these days and have some fun with it again, instead of sitting in the dark corner of the shop. Just too bad I built the 460,,,,, nobody wants to play!! HAHA! Will be in touch with you on the gears. Chad

I can jump up to 3600lb but I don;t think I have the power to do any good at that weight. Drop me a line when you can and maybe we can meet up this summer somewhere.
Thanks Shaggy

Everyone is welcome to come to Columbia City Ind. on friday the 8th of June at the Whitley county 4-H fairgrounds. Div. 1&2. 2 tracks on dirt with easy pulling sleds. 2500# tractors can pull the sled. Pull starts at 4:00pm div. 1 . No charge to the fairgrounds with a great tractor show going on fri and sat also. This pull is at the same place as the King auctions in Mar. and sept., West of Fort Wayne just off US Hy. 30. Maybe you and Chad could meet up there since the pull is just east of Chad.
There will be a 3000#, 3250# and a 3500# class amoung others in the div. 2 you might be interested in.

I can't make it on the 8th of June because I am going on the Hertiage tractor adventure that Saturday. I know its the day after but I am working that night and that is a lot of shuffling in a short time.
Thanks!
Shaggy
I am going to Email you to get a little more info though.
