Has any one heared or seen a jd that has three clutch disks in them. This jd was a 37A and he put them in there some how to prevent the clutch from slipping?.I think he used some newer parts out of a jd. thanks

The later styled A's had a three disk clutch. If one was to use parts from one of them including the crankshaft and driver it would be just a parts swap. I never seen where it was necessary to do so and I know of old two disk A's pushing over 80-HP with stock clutches. The real secrete is to have your clutch in good condition so it will snap over center so it will hold. If it slips you don't have it snapping over hard enough. I run stock clutches on both of the two modified unstyled B's that my son and I pull and they do not slip. Yes they are in good mechanical shape but still stock. My sons B will run approximately 65-HP. Spend your time and money on the stock clutch and it will save yourself allot of headache and money. Good Luck, Dave W.
