Has anyone noticed the difference in rpms between a farmall h 300 350 and 350 utility, the utility can run higher rs than a row crop can this seems like a unfair advantage when there practically the same tractor, can anyone explain the reasoning natpa used for this rule.

WHY WHY WHY????? No one knows why the NATPA does alot of things. What I can't understand is why someone from the NATPA doesn't respond to these question? I know they read them. Maybe they are ashame of their unfair rules OR they only want your money and don't care about the pullers.

I beleive if you get a manuel for a utility it had more rpm's from the factory. the people running these did this for a reason. I hope this was of help. Scott

Scott, Who regulates what tractors get the up grade just because of the same engine? do you feel this is fair? Are you in favor of that RPM chart? I know the member-ship voted in the RPM chart, with the idea that it would be fair, is there any way it can be made to resemble the Nebraska test or manufacturer RPM? Why should political power make a difference?

Keith, I will try to answer your question best I can and this is only my oppinion! The engines were
grouped by number of cyl & manufactor. Which in my oppinion this doesn't hold true like a F-30 &
450 are really not the same but grouped together.
With that in mind a 460 & W-40 are not grouped together and they share # of cyl and same manufactor.I would like to see the R.P.M. for the tractor being entered like old John Deere runs old R.P.M. instead of the latest. The problem with this is with a really undermaned tech crew
it was easier to group alot of the tractors together.Thelast part of your question I can onlyanswer that I hope this problem will not continue
in the future and if it does only in a case were a new tractor comes out that nobody no alot about.
I hope I can help the NATPA get back to the place were people come to enjoy the competition and enjoy the company of our fellow competitors.
By no means do I think I have all of the answer's
but I hope I can help restore the NATPA to what it is capable of being. In closing I would like to say that a fellow membersaid that he & his boy had alot of fun together this year pulling the winter circut and looked foward to the years to come. I also took my son to the first pull of the year and to my surprize he had a ball. He also made a freind from Kansas. Scott

fair honest openminded ways are what we need.
I was not pointing fingers just looking for a fair fix for all, and I my self do not see grouping to be that great for many. For others great-not fair!

Keith, I appreciate what you said. I can not change everything but if people will try to work together we can all make this a better place to pull. Thank You Scott

I understand that the utility came with more rs but it is still a 350,offshoot of a h.it would just seem to me that a 350 is a 350 regardless if it had different tires on it and a utility badge.
