I am going to make my Chaperel Pick-Up lawn tractor into a puller with a 650 polaris tripple. Does anyone have any tips.

Don't know if weight is any concern for you, but a big twin would give you more torque and be lighter too. If you can find someone that wrecked a 700 or 800 twin this winter(polaris, cat or ski-doo) you may be able to get the engine cheap. The triples are fast, but the twins got great torque... but as with any snowmobile engine, the clutching is the key. It's just a thought, anyways, but good luck on your project. I'm sure it'll be pretty cool when it's done. (can't believe we're talking sleds on a tractor forum.. lol..)

Weight is not to much of a factor. im sure i will still be adding alot of lead. I know the torque of a twinn would be nice but i am buying a twin for my watercross slead and putting my old water cross engine in the puller i dont want to spend much money on it. Im just kinda playing around with it (its not worth a twin).
