I am going to pull this Ollie for the first time this weekend in Roshholt Wi. Was wondering what the air pressure should be in the tires. It weighs 8,980 lbs. without driver. We will pull it in the 10,000 lbs. class. The tires are regular farm stock tires (18.4/34) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Greg

The hitch that is in the pic is worthless, If you use the stock hitch and weld a piece like that on on it it will do so much better, right now your pulling on the tractor from behind the rear axle, if you use the stock draw bar you are pulling from the belly of the tractor, and you WILL get more traction. trust me BC i did that same thing and my father told me what i jsut said and it worked, i went from taking last place all the time to winning just by changing the drawbar

Heres how the front of my 1950 puller looks.I have 9.5L15 front tires and no weights up front. At 13,000 lbs with a 25" long-20" high drawbar I can barely carry the front.Ollies are nose heavy when it comes to pulling.

With the nose being so heavy on olivers do you run a longer draw bar our rules say 20" hight 18" from axle ?

Heres what I pull from on my 1950.I'm 25" back from the center of the rear axle and 20" high.At 13,000 lbs I can barely get the nose up unless its a great biting track.

If you are pulling the 10,000 lb class then you want the tractor to weigh 10,000 lbs with the driver.Ollies are nose heavy so the weight needs to be on the back.

If you have old bias 18.4x34 tires then start out at 10 lbs of air pressure.Radials need more.

Have the drawbar in as close as allowed and as high as allowed. You will probably have to run 2nd gear.

Good Luck.
