Trying to make a usable tractor out of 2 junkers. A friend of mine rolled his 1086,thankfully no one was hurt. Cab was smashed, TA housing split open and rear engine plate cracked. I have the back half of a 806 sitting here. Could the 2 halves of the tractors be put together? I know the frame rails are different. Another friend posted the question on Red Power for me, and got conflicting answers. Some said the bolt pattern is the same but bolts were bigger on the 1086. Maybe we need the plate from a smaller tractor like a 766? (Going to need a new one anyhow) I figure you pulling guys know best how to swap parts around.

you will need a rear engine cover off a 966-1586 and it will bolt up just fine.
the trans housing will be about 1/4 inch narrower on each side that the 1086 but it will not effect anything.
the 806 will not have the cab mounts for the 86 series so what you would end up with would be a basic 1066.
you will need the rear hoods, rear engine cover like the one that is cracked, the dash assembly and steering tower from a 66 series and the starter off the 1086.
the clutch will not interchange from the 806 to the 1086 so if the flywheel is bent at all you will need to get that too.
hope this helps.
