Hey guys...I recently got my grandpas 65 190xt that needs some work. The engine was stuck but I freed it up. The turbo didnt turn but after soaking in oil for a week and removing the exhaust elbow(and scraping off years of goob)it spins with relitive ease. I havnt gotten it running yet because I want to take the head off and make sure there isnt any problems with the piston rings etc. I am curious how to get more out of her. Here are my thoughts...larger fuel lines, send the pump out, injectors if possible the have reworked???...maybe replace the stock lift pump with an automotive one????just an idea...larger turbo?...what about adding a intercooler from the 7000 series??...I would like to keep the stock block and such...plus also not spend thousands...its a tall order but its somethin to tinker with...if anyone has experience with these tractors or engines please let me know...I dont want to copy anyone but just looking for ideas...thanks alot!
