Every so often I post and ask what crafty name folks put on their pride and joy puller tractors. My personal favorite being "5-Star General". Any good names out there? Any new ones in 2007?

I pull a 1960 john deere 630 in 7500-9500 farm stock, i call it "underdog", because everyone else pulls 4010, 4020, ford 5000, case 970, case 930, 1950 olivers, 730 jd, 720s, ect. and most aren't stock, so the name really fits.

I call my '52 Massey Harris 55 "Rat Ba$t@rd". It has a big block Chevy (rat motor) that obviously shouldn't be there.

My last tractor, a 53 Ollie 77 puller, I brought home when my daughter was in diapers. I told my wife it wasn't for me, it was for my daughter, So I was forced to name it "Sweet Caroline" (or get shot.....)

As you can tell by my name my tractors are two colors, Red and Grey, and Green and Rust. Their names are Bottle Baby a LPG 901 Ford stock, Big Baby a 960 Ford modified, and the WORLD FAMOUS "SOUR KRAUT" a Canadian CoOp/Deutz, unrestored since it left the cabbage farm.

That pesky General is always getting Someday and I to stand at attention and salute while he makes full pulls. Did you hear that he bought a basket Case? Now we will have to fight for third place or lower if those big A Allis's show up. There is a Big Red 9 that is that is going to sneak up on us also.

Come to think of it I believe we have all been beaten by one or both of Jerry Leak's tractors. We need to come up with a name for this exclusive club.

Hi Someday and Captainhookerus, Thanks for the compliments. I don't think that "Basket Case" will be a problem. My son and I have had a lot of fun pulling this summer. However, he can not leave the bus company in the winter since he has to help support my addiction. I thought we had a name for that "Leek Club". HA! HA! Looking forward to pulling with you fellows this winter.

Have an Allis "C" called "C-Allis", Allis "B" that is "Allis In Wonderland", and my current project is a 1938 "WC" that will be Christened "'38 Special" complete with cheesy bullet hole decals!

38 Special served my tractor well. I pulled this 1938 Super 101 Massey from 1982 till about 1992. Best of luck to you!!
