Just ordered my 175 pistons, pretty pricy! But anyways what I wanted to know was Did you have to swith manifold and carb when you made these modifications? I've heard to run a D-17 carb and manifold but I don't think I've ever seen one to compare it, will it be real noticable. Right now I've sunk enough money into this thing so will it fall on it's face under a load if I dont switch?

It makes a big difference if your going to RPM it for instance use the 170/175 governor spring. If your using the stock spring you barely notice the difference. I doubt if would fall on its face unless you have gone to the 38" tire. I never did with the 28's. Your on your way. Don't worry about the manifold/carb till you've saved up again. You have a combo right now that get you right in the game and be competitive just get use to ballasting the tractor correctly and you'll be alot better puller than the guy that spent $7000 and doesn't have a clue how to ballast his tractor. Good luck and keep me posted!
