Why can Scott Bates add weight and change hitch heights after he's already weighed in?? It seems to me that that would be cheating. But i guess thats not the case w/ people from up there.

Maybe i dont want to protest him because i am normaly one place ahead or one place behind him i actualy like the chalnge of wining aginst him. I am just simply sticking up for some friends of mine that have been pushed around by him in years past.

I have pulled against Scott Bates for several years at the Oakley tractor show, and he always does very well. I also have a CO-OP E3 that I pull, he typically beats me at the pull, I don't think he cheats, I just think he is a better puller, I actually think he just did a good job pulling, the tractor that was next in line from him was a Ford and he pulled every time Scott did.

Scott works at every pull he goes to and helps out as much as anyone, I think just because someone it doesn't mean they cheated to do so.

Did you guys see how well he did at the dead weight pull on saturday at the oakley show with his co-op E3 when tractors weighting 300-500 more pounds then him and normaly do very well were spining out he pulled it. And yet know one will protest him and make him go back accross the scale and check his hitch why? When he will make anyone for any reason get checked out. Is it because he wheres a yellow shirt with green writing that says Show pulls Chairman. Somthing needs to be done soon or there is going to be even more pissed off pullers.

Just curious, if it was that bad and you want to know why no one protested him, why didn't you? If you can answer that one then you will probably find the answer to your question

Do you mean that he's adding weight or just moving existing weight to another place on the tractor.

If he's just moving it around there is nothing wrong with that at all.

Jim

Definantly adding more weights than that which he weighed in at. Also raising the hitch height. These things are not legal or moral things to do in a sport which is intended to be for fun.

In our dead weight club, they can add weight only when the first driver on the tractor goes out and the second driver weighs in heavier than the first. So on and so on. If he entered it 3 times and he was the same driver for all three hooks, you would see him add weight as soon as he goes out the first time. If they are letting him be the same driver for more than one driver allowed, should be more than one driver allowed, but different driver each time.

Ya~ we'll never go back n pull there. It's hard to even compete against him @ MMOGTA. Its too bad, cause they have really good pulls there, and someone like that has to do stuff like that.
