hey, I just got an H a couple weeks ago. Im looking for motor ideas. I have been looking on this site an have gotten a bunch of ideas. i want to go with a 350 sleeve kit, and fire creater pistons. how much can i mill my head with this set up? where is the best place to get a cam? what rods are good for this? I have heard of people using A rods. also, im planning on using a 350 manifold. is an M carb suitable for this? im sure you guys are sick of answering these questions. but any help is appreciated. I am experienced in race cars, mud trucks, and racing snowmobiles but this is my first shot at this tractor stuff. give me some ideas, im ready to start tearing into this thing.

Wow! the more i read on this forum the more undecided i get. with all my research it seems i can bore my block to 3-3/16 without resleeving it. so what pistons do i order for this bore? i want domed pistons. also i have read that milling the head .100 is o.k. but then i read that you can take off .300. now is a 350 cam better than a reground stock cam? still up in the air about the rods. I can see that this this tractor stuff is going to drive me absolutley nuts! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Use can have Cummingham Rods make you a set of rods for your engine combo. As for other mods for your combo. I would try and get ahold of Bullet Cams for help. Then for your cylinder head, I have a porting shop and i have done IH heads along with other tractor heads. I have also done drag, cirlce track, mud trucks, and diesel heads. I have been porting heads since 1998, then in july I opened up my own porting shop. Iam currently working on a WD Allis head, that we are hoping to make alot of power with. If you want to make power in your motor most of the power is in the heads. So give a call or email and we can talk about your combo.
