Things sure have been fairly calm around here lately. Anybody want to argue about something? LOL I'll even let you pick the topic. May I suggest....

NATPA
Deere versus something else,
compression,
Hummins, Powersmoke, Durapad

I gotta get away from this screen. I think I'll go swear at my father-in-law Farmall M.

ROFL

OK...I'll ask? What's up with the NATPA and Don Harshfield? Is he "officially" not on the board...AGAIN!?!?!?! Has he quit pulling (one can dream can't he!)? What's up????

Allright!Do most organizations let farm stock classes use tires bigger than 15.5 38 on a 15 inch rim?I was told I could not pull my G with 16.9 38's on it in the farm stock class and would have to pull in the 4mph or the 8mph classes.I seen three tractors this last weekend with 16.9 tires pulling in the farm stock classes, now what gives?

I've been worried lately about the lack of any bickering here. Thought maybe because spring is here everyone is taking their anger out on the pulling track instead of the forum.

My buddy called right after I posted my suggestion. His recommendation for discussion is providing any rule change to the NATPA that you would like (a wish list). I guess it should be fairly reasonable but it may be interesting to hopefully hear sensible changes from sensible people. I may be making a fool of myself (again) but like I have said before (DILIGAF)

Change the tire rule so that a tractor can run the
tires they came from the factory with, just because
John Deere's could only handle bicycle tires doesn't mean the real tractors should be brought
down to their level.

Hey Gary, a Schwinn-Deere eh? Saw a real stock JD A pull last week. We better let them keep their aftermerket parts. It wasn't a pretty sight. Just think of those poor B____tards that farmed with those damned things with stock HP!!!

farming with a Stock Farmall M is no picknick either, and I've been around it. They don't rumble when their stock, just sort of sputter as they lug down. Put the JD A,G Farmall H and M in a bag and shake them and see which one comes out first. I guarranty you wouldn't want to farm with any of them Stock. Ollies and Minnie Moes are another story, even the lowly Fords aren't bad for the truely small chores around the farm. Greg H.

Yea know what you mean!I can remember back when
I was 7 or 8 years old they took up a special
collection in church one Sunday for a family who
was so down and out they HAD to buy a John Deere
for their farm,we really felt sorry for them.Of
course they never overcame the attached stigma,
it was really sad.Gets me teary eyed after all these years!

I can see why you get teary eyed about that. That old jd is now worth some $ where that tractor you have is still worth a pile of sh-t.

I just don't under stand then because at all sales that I have gone to the john deeres have always sold higher then the others. What kind of tractor do you have and why do you dislike the john deeres so much.

Will, just trying to inject a little humor in what
seems to be a humorless pursuit for some.Tractor pulling doesn't rank up there as a dead serious
thing to do with my time,I do it for fun and if some people can't take a little kidding about their brand then thats too bad for them.

The reason he doesn't like Deere is b/c he is sick of reading John Deere across the back of the axle when they go right pass him

1 All 2cyl Deere can run any block, head, bore, stroke and carburetor in all divisions.
2 Fuel for all 2cyl Deeres must be safe for human consumption. (no moonshine allowed) 2cyl Deere drivers will be required drink 2 quarts of fuel and pass sobriety test before pulling.
