Just measured up a new old set of tires last night. 16.9 X 38 8ply Firestone Deep Tread. They appear to spread pretty flat at 16 inches. I talked to my buddy the tire cutter guy and he said git r' dun. Some of the best tractors in our club run theirs on 18 inch rims. It's time for me to hunt up some rims. What are the thoughts of some of you fellas here on YT?

I am running 16.9 x 38"s on a 14.5" rim width, and have for the last 20 years with very good success, have prize money and trophies to show for it. I"m sure there are several variables that will work, rim width wise. Best of Luck.
