In SW.MO.They pull steelwheels. They are the last class though I,d try to find some rubber too. It is more work But you get to pull twice on the same Tractor.

Any tractor I've ever seen on steel seems to work the tractor to hard, becuase they wont give or spin like a tire will seems to run out of power real quick. But then again these tractor were the old farmall f series too.

Find out where the local pulls are and get the rules from them. It seems most local groups have slightly different rules. You could go to the NATPA site and get the national rules they should get you in the ball park.

All the pulls that I have been too, and I pull in central Texas a lot, the rules say you cannot have steel wheels. I have seen some pulls that aloow them, but never around here. You may want to look at getting a tractor that has rubber tires. Good Luck, have fun pullin!

Most rule sets say the same in Michigan but there are exceptions. There wuill be a steel wheel pull this weekend (Sunday) at the Hudson Mills Tractor show in SE Michigan. They will have another on Labor day weekend.

The antique engine club at Oakley has a steel wheel pull during there show in August and maybe a couple more during the year.

If you get the chance check one out in your area!

A,P,
