can anyone suppy me with or point me to specs. HP and rated rpm for Allis/buda? 230 and 262 6 cylinder GAS combine engines?

got a dead wd45 and was wanting to swap one of these in as i have one laying around. I know it has been done before called either "super wd45, or WD55" havent been able to find anything useful on the net. I hear its a pretty simple swap and i dont see any major obstacles. Biggest thing maby adapter plate. Can someone tell me what ill need? flywheel?. etc

The 230 was about 40hp and the 262 was 72hp I think.

You will need the rear engine plate, starter and flywheel/clutch assembly off of a wd45 diesel. You will also need to notch teh left side of the frame for the oil filter. A front motor mount will have to be made or use one from teh wd45 diesel. You will either have to lengthen your hood or again use one off the donor. The radiator will have to be moved forward and hoses fabricated. The governor off combines are backwards from the tractor style but it can be adapted to work with alittle work. Its a pretty easy swap as long as you can find the donor parts. good Luck

i was figuring on the frame notch and fabricating a longer hood from 2 hoods and moving radiator and adapting carb/gov linkage. i was wondering about making an adapter plate as i have friend with machine shop. But diesel flywheel is a must? gasser flywheel wont work? i imagine those flywheels arnt easy to come by... and i dont have one. maby ill just buy a 226 block and be done.. i thought a 6 cylinder would be kinda cool but i have a 230 and power wouldnt be any better.
