My G drips a little oil out the petcocks and makes a little mess on the frame. It's not real bad but I have real good compression and it pulls good so I am not going to tear it down now.The petcocks are new but still leak a little.I would like to buy some that will seal better and let out more compression to help it start easier. What do some of you use?I have seen some but never asked where they were bought. Thanks

Jack I use aviatation gas with a little oil in my "41 G and it stays clean. You should use a oil because the fuel is dry and to lube top end.Garland

Jack Sometimes bigger isn't always better! I put big petcocks in my A but it starts better with them open about halfway. Just my $0.02 Mike

MIKE IN MO. That is exactly right sometimes the bigger petcocks lets out too much comp. We use them mainly on the high comp. pulling tractors.Earl

Jack, Automotive parts store that has a good stock of brass fittings should be able to help you out. When I had the parts store we carried one in everhot brass .They are 1/4 pipe with a 1/4 hole for drain cock or comp release. When the lever is straight out the hole is closed. just the opposite of Deere.

Try using natural gas valves. You can get them at hardware or plumbing supply stores. The correct size will screw right in with no problem. They are 1/4 turn valves with a larger hole and they seal good also. Have been using them on big motor A and G with good resultes. The pipe threads and holes come in several sizes,so you need to check which one will work for you.
