Can anybody tell me who or where I can get information on getting maximun horsepower out of a 453 detroit. Possible mods on head, blower, camshaft, injectors, upsizing sleeves and pistons? Thanks for any help

Yes, you assume correctly. Do you know who this puller is or where he pulls?

I am limited to 3000 RPM in most classes. I have been told that some military and marine applications make up to 250 HP. I would like to attempt to make as much HP as possible without a turbo? Some have suggested running a blower on both sides of engine? Thanks for any help!

Hey pulling JIM
Looks like you got a screamer lots of rpm's on that engine. If you turbocharge the engine it will produce the max H.P about 10% sooner in the R.P.M. range about 35 more h.p.stock . Never seen blowers on both sides, how do the get hoocked up? The h.p. on this engine are at the max R.P.M. If you can keep the engine droop to a minimum that will help also.

Guido.

I would like to turbo this engine, but I can't run a turbo in most of the classes I compete in. Thanks for the response
